US agreed to unfreeze Iranian assets, sources tell Al Jazeera

Sources close to the Iranian delegation have told Al Jazeera that the United States has agreed to release frozen Iranian assets in the lead up to their talks with the country in Pakistan.

This concedes on one of Iran’s demands in its 10-point plan, which was set out prior to the ceasefire agreement currently being negotiated.

The White House has not commented on whether it has allowed Iranian assets to be unfrozen.
