UK rules out role in Hormuz blockade, backs navigation coalition

The United Kingdom will not take part in any blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, according to a report by the Financial Times citing informed sources.

Quoting a British government spokesperson, the report said London opposes imposing fees on vessels transiting the vital waterway.

“We are working with France and other partners to form a coalition to protect freedom of navigation.”
