Saudi summons Iraq envoy over drone threat claims

Saudi Arabia has called in Iraq’s ambassador after accusing armed groups of launching drones from Iraqi territory towards the kingdom and other Gulf states.

In a statement released on Sunday, the Saudi foreign ministry said it raised concerns over what it described as escalating threats originating from Iraq.

It added that it had "emphasised the importance of Iraq dealing responsibly with these threats and attacks".
