Australia’s Albanese calls for return to negotiations to end conflict

Australia’s prime minister, Anthony Albanese, called for a return to negotiations to end the conflict involving Iran, warning of growing economic fallout.

“I want to see the resumption of peace talks,” Albanese said, adding the conflict is having a “devastating impact on the global economy” that will worsen the longer it continues.

He urged efforts to bring the fighting to an end through diplomacy.
