Iran president urges US to abandon 'totalitarianism' negotiating position

Iran’s president has weighed in on efforts to reach a lasting settlement with the United States, calling on Washington to change its approach.

In a post on X, he said a deal remains possible if the US shifts course.

“If the American government abandons its totalitarianism and respects the rights of the Iranian nation, ways to reach an agreement will certainly be found”.

He also praised Iran’s negotiating team, highlighting the role of parliament speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf.
