Iran says goodwill steps advanced US talks, dismisses Trump threats

Iran’s senior negotiator says Tehran’s goodwill gestures helped push forward negotiations with the United States, according to remarks carried by state media.

Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said on Sunday that recent initiatives by Iran created momentum in the talks, signalling progress despite ongoing tensions.

He also dismissed fresh warnings from US President Donald Trump, saying they would not influence Iran’s position.

"If you fight, we will fight, and if you come forward with logic, we will deal with logic," he said.
