Asia braces for gas shortages after Iran talks collapse

Asian buyers are preparing for deeper gas supply shortages after US-Iran talks in Islamabad failed to produce a deal, Bloomberg reported, citing shipping data.

The breakdown in negotiations has heightened concerns over energy flows linked to tensions around the Strait of Hormuz.

Average gas shipments to China fell by about 30 percent in the past month compared with a year earlier, the data showed, underscoring the growing strain on regional energy supplies.
