Trump says he ‘doesn’t care’ if Iran returns to talks

US President Donald Trump said he is unconcerned about whether Iran returns to negotiations, telling reporters, “I don’t care … if they don’t come back, I’m fine,” as tensions persist following the collapse of talks.

Speaking at Joint Base Andrews, Trump said the ceasefire with Iran is “holding well” and confirmed a blockade of Iranian ports would take effect at 10 a.m. ET (14:00 GMT).

He described Iran as being “in very bad shape” and said the United States had shown restraint in its actions.
