US Senator says Trump’s Iran policy fuelling inflation

US Democratic Senator Patty Murray criticised President Donald Trump’s policies on Iran, saying they are contributing to rising inflation in the United States.

In a post on X, Murray said “Trump starting a costly foreign war that no one asked for” was a major factor behind “surging” inflation.

She added that Trump had promised to lower prices but was “actively doing the opposite.”

Prices are surging and it's thanks to two main things:⁰⁰1. Trump starting a costly foreign war that no one asked for.

2. Trump's arbitrary & corrupt tariffs.⁰⁰He promised to lower inflation, to lower prices—he not only broke those promises, he's actively doing the OPPOSITE.
