US President Donald Trump said on Monday that the AI-generated image of himself as a Jesus-like figure was intended to depict him as a doctor.

Hours after posting the image, Trump deleted it, drawing widespread criticism, even from some religious conservatives who typically support him.

“I did post it, and I thought it was me as a doctor.”
