Haaretz: Israel demolishing villages in Lebanon 'just like Gaza'

Israeli forces demolished villages in southern Lebanon using methods similar to those employed in Gaza, Haaretz reported, quoting Israeli soldiers.

β€œWe’re behaving just like we did in Gaza,” one army source told the newspaper, adding that β€œThere’s a list of homes to be demolished, and we measure success based on the number of buildings destroyed in a day.”

The report said bulldozers have been used to raze villages near the border fence to clear space for "permanent" military outposts.

Haaretz reported that Israeli troops have advanced to a third line of villages from the border, about 20 kilometres south of the Litani River.
