Iran interior minister dismisses impact of blockade threats

Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni said that Iran will not be affected by what he described as the illusion of a blockade, citing the country’s more than 8,000 kilometres of land and sea borders. He stressed that authorities in border provinces must facilitate the import of essential goods to counter any potential restrictions and ensure continuity of supply. In an earlier statement, Mossad chief David Barnea said that Israel did not expect the Iranian regime to fall immediately after the end of active fighting. He added that efforts would continue beyond the combat phase, stating that work to overthrow the Iranian regime was ongoing.
