Lebanon condemns attack on Unifil forces, vows accountability

Lebanon has condemned an attack on UN peacekeepers in the country’s south, pledging to pursue those responsible.

The Lebanese Foreign Ministry said the incident targeted the French contingent of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon.

Officials described the assault as unacceptable and reaffirmed their commitment to protecting international forces operating in the country.
