Iran warns ships near Hormuz will be treated as targets

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have issued a warning to vessels operating near the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement published by Sepah News, the naval arm of the Guards said it would treat any approaching vessel as hostile.

“We warn that no ship, of any kind, should leave its anchorage in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. Any attempt to approach the Strait of Hormuz will be considered cooperation with the enemy, and the offending vessel will be targeted,” the statement said.
