Hezbollah says attack on Israel was response to ceasefire violations

Hezbollah said it launched an attack on northern Israel in retaliation for Israeli breaches of the 10-day ceasefire.

In a statement, the group said it used rockets and attack drones to target a site it said had been used to shell a town in southern Lebanon.

It said the attack was carried out “in defence of Lebanon and its people” and in response to what it called “blatant” Israeli violations, including strikes on civilians and destruction of homes.
