US says it redirected 33 ships under Iran naval blockade

The US Central Command says it has diverted 33 vessels since enforcing its naval blockade on Iran.

In an update posted on X, the military said the figure had risen from 31 earlier in the day, signalling continued enforcement in the strategic waterway.

The US also said it had intercepted and boarded a sanctioned vessel allegedly carrying Iranian oil.
