Air defences activated in Tehran as ‘hostile targets’ reported

Air defence systems were activated in parts of Tehran on Thursday, with Iranian media reporting attempts to intercept what were described as “hostile targets”.

Mehr News Agency said air defences engaged targets over the capital, while Nour News also reported that batteries had been activated in several areas.

Authorities did not provide details on the nature of the threat, and there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.

The incident comes amid heightened tensions, with Iran’s air defence systems placed on alert as the conflict continues to escalate.
