Israel charges two air force soldiers over alleged Iran espionage

Israel has charged two air force personnel with allegedly working for Iranian intelligence, according to a joint statement from the Israeli military, Shin Bet and police.

The two technicians face serious offences, including aiding the enemy during wartime and transferring sensitive information to Iran. One is accused of direct contact with a foreign agent, while the other is charged with assisting that contact.

Authorities said the pair told investigators they initially cut ties with Iranian handlers after refusing weapons-related tasks, but later attempted to re-establish contact.
