Trump rules out using nuclear weapons against Iran
US President Donald Trump has said he would not use nuclear weapons against Iran, stepping back from earlier threats of overwhelming force.
Speaking at the White House on Thursday, Trump said nuclear arms should not be deployed under any circumstances.
"A nuclear weapon should never be allowed to be used by anybody," he told reporters.
The remarks come after previous warnings in which Trump threatened to completely destroy Iranian civilisation.
