17 Somali migrants killed after boat capsizes off Algerian coast

Somali ambassador to Algeria, Yusuf Ahmed Hassan, said at least 17 Somali migrants have died after their boat capsized in waters between Algeria and Spain. In remarks to Somali state media, the ambassador said he had received calls from worried parents seeking information about missing relatives. He said the victims included 12 men and five women, who drowned after the boat overturned while attempting the dangerous journey to Europe.
