Iran has warned that any attack on its electrical infrastructure could trigger retaliatory strikes on energy systems across the region. Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said that if Iran’s power grid were targeted, Tehran could respond by causing widespread disruption to energy networks in neighbouring countries. “Of course, if he takes such an action, the entire region will experience a complete blackout within half an hour,” Larijani said, responding to recent remarks by US President Donald Trump.
