Iran says it won't meet US, will convey position to Pakistan amid mediation
Iran said no meeting is planned with the United States in Islamabad, according to foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei.
He said Iran’s position would instead be conveyed to Pakistan amid ongoing mediation efforts.
Baghaei wrote on X that Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had arrived in Islamabad and will meet Pakistani officials as part of efforts to end the conflict and advance diplomatic engagement.
We arrive in Islamabad, Pakistan, for an official visit. FM Araghchi will be meeting with Pakistani high-level officials in concert with their ongoing mediation & good offices for ending American imposed war of aggression and the restitution of peace in our region.
