The leader of Yemen’s Houthi movement, Abdul-malik al-Houthi, said on Thursday evening that his group was ready for any developments in the ongoing confrontation involving the United States, Israel and Iran, stressing that it would stand with Tehran against what he described as US-Israeli aggression. In a televised speech broadcast by the group’s Al-Masirah channel, he said: “From the beginning we have stressed that the aggression against Iran is a targeting of the entire region and a war against Islam and Muslims.” Al-Houthi added that the Houthis considered themselves directly concerned and would take a position alongside the Islamic Republic of Iran, saying the group stands “with it against all our enemies”.
