Israeli military launches raids after government directive

Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes across southern Lebanon following instructions from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to target what were described as Hezbollah positions.  

According to the National News Agency, the raids hit several towns, including Haddatha, Zibqin, Khirbet Selm and Sultaniyeh.
