Strait of Hormuz will not return to pre-war conditions, Iranian MP says
A senior Iranian lawmaker said the Strait of Hormuz will not return to its pre-war state amid ongoing restrictions and a US naval blockade.
Ali Nikzad said the policy reflects a directive from Iran's leadership.
Since the war began on 28 February, Iran has maintained control over the strait, while the US imposed a blockade on 13 April.
Talks in Islamabad failed to produce a breakthrough, though efforts for further negotiations are ongoing.
