Axios: Tehran proposal via Pakistan aims to end blockade, reopen Hormuz

Axios reported that Iran has offered the United States a new proposal aimed at reopening the Strait of Hormuz and ending the war, "with nuclear negotiations postponed for a later stage".

The offer was conveyed through Pakistani mediators, according to the report, which cited US and regional sources.

The report said reaching a deal on the Strait of Hormuz and lifting the US blockade on Iranian ports will leave Trump “with no real leverage to get Tehran to give up on its stockpile of enriched uranium, and commit to a suspension of uranium enrichment for at least a decade”
