Israel cancels Holiday gathering over Hezbollah attack fears
Israel will replace the annual Lag BaOmer festival at Mount Meron with a smaller symbolic ceremony due to security concerns, the prime ministerβs office said.
The event typically draws around 100,000 people but has been curtailed over fears of potential attacks by Hezbollah.
Mount Meron is located about six kilometres from the Lebanon border.
