Iran reopens six airports as flights gradually resume

Iranian state media said six airports are now operational – Mehrabad, Mashhad, Shiraz, Zahedan, Gorgan and Urmia.

Flights from Kerman, Yazd and Birjand are expected to resume in a later phase, according to aviation authorities.

Officials said domestic and international flights will increase gradually as airspace conditions improve, with transit flights also set to resume.
