Trump hits back at German chancellor over Iran war remarks

US President Donald Trump criticised German Chancellor Friedrich Merz after the latter said Iran was humiliating the US in talks to end the war.

“The Chancellor of Germany, Friedrich Merz, thinks it’s OK for Iran to have a Nuclear Weapon. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about!” Trump wrote.

Merz has said Iran must not acquire nuclear weapons, but earlier accused Tehran of undermining US diplomacy.
