The United States is considering a partial agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, according to a report published on Tuesday. A Pakistani official familiar with the matter told The Washington Post that Iran has asked Washington to lift the blockade imposed on its ports in exchange for reopening the strategic waterway to maritime traffic.
