The UN on Thursday said aid agencies are still unable to bring in materials needed to build durable shelters in Gaza, as Israel’s restrictions continue amid worsening humanitarian conditions in the enclave, Anadolu reports. UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said there has been “no progress” in efforts to allow the entry of more durable shelter supplies. “We’re able to bring tarpaulins, blankets, sheets—whatever. We’re not able to bring anything that will let us build durable shelter,” he told reporters.
