Turkey’s foreign minister Hakan Fidan has warned that Israel’s expansionist policies have become a threat to global security, linking regional conflicts to wider instability affecting energy markets and migration flows. Speaking at a conference organised by the Vienna Academy of Diplomacy during a visit to Austria, Fidan said conflicts driven by external power dynamics have led to long-term instability, stressing the importance of territorial sovereignty in resolving crises. He said ongoing wars have contributed to volatility in global energy markets and raised the risk of large-scale migration towards Europe, warning that the consequences extend beyond the Middle East.
