More than 86 per cent of agricultural land in the Gaza Strip has been damaged to varying degrees during the latest war, the Palestinian Centre for Political Studies said on Sunday, warning of serious consequences for food security. The finding was published in an economic policy paper titled “Rehabilitation of Agricultural Land in Gaza after the 2023–2025 War”, prepared by researcher Khaled Abu Amer. The paper highlights the scale of destruction across the agricultural sector. The study said the damage extended beyond crops and infrastructure to include soil, water resources and the wider ecosystem, making recovery more complex.
