Hezbollah says it hit Israeli Merkava tank in south Lebanon

Hezbollah said it targeted an Israeli Merkava tank in Biyyada in southern Lebanon with a guided missile on Monday night, claiming a confirmed hit and reporting that the tank was seen burning.

In a statement on Telegram, the group said the attack was carried out at 11:45 pm local time, “in defence of Lebanon and its people, and in response to Israeli enemy violations of the ceasefire and attacks on villages in southern Lebanon.”
