Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said there can be no negotiations with Israel while fighting continues in southern Lebanon, stressing that halting the war must come first. In remarks reported by his media office and published in An-Nahar, Berri said: β€œStopping the war must precede any political process,” rejecting talks without clear guarantees that Israeli military actions will cease.
