India condemns UAE oil port attack as ‘unacceptable’, calls for end to strikes

The Ministry of External Affairs of India said an attack on a major oil port in the United Arab Emirates that injured three Indian nationals was “unacceptable”.

“We call for immediate cessation of these hostilities and the targeting of civilian infrastructure and innocent civilians," the ministry said: 

The comments followed reports of a “major fire” at the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone after drone strikes attributed to Iran.

The Indian ministry said New Delhi “continues to stand for dialogue and diplomacy” in the region.
