Sudan has recalled its ambassador to Ethiopia for consultations after accusing Addis Ababa of involvement in a drone attack targeting Khartoum airport on Monday, the Sudan News Agency (SUNA) reported on Tuesday. A military source told AFP that Sudanese air defences shot down drones aimed at Khartoum airport, while witnesses reported hearing explosions and seeing smoke rising from a nearby area. Drone attacks have increased in recent months as the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces continue their war, which began in April 2023.
