The Prisoners’ Information Office said on Tuesday evening that female detainees in Damon prison were subjected to more than 10 repression and torture operations during April. It said the raids involved the use of stun grenades, forcing prisoners to lie face down on the ground, restraining them from behind, and assaulting them with beatings and kicks, often away from surveillance cameras. The office added that the incursions were accompanied by arbitrary solitary confinement imposed on a number of prisoners without justification, as well as forced transfers inside cells.
