Israeli strike in Gaza kills senior Palestinian police officer

An Israeli air strike in Gaza has killed a senior officer in the Palestinian interior ministry, according to health officials.

Medics identified the victim as Naseem al-Kalazani, a colonel in Gaza’s police force, saying he was killed when his vehicle was targeted near the al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis.

At least 17 other people were wounded in the attack, according to the officials.
