Turkey says Iran denies missile launches despite radar data

Turkey says Iran has denied firing ballistic missiles towards Turkish territory despite radar and technical data suggesting otherwise.

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said he spoke with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi after air defences intercepted another missile on Friday. It was the third projectile shot down in nine days, according to Turkish officials.

"Once again, they are not taking responsibility for this incident. They claim they did not order any such attack, nor are they linked to it," said Fidan.

Fidan said Turkish authorities were reviewing technical evidence and discussing the issue with Iran through diplomatic and military channels.

Turkey also warned it would respond firmly to any further threats, adding that its defence capabilities remain strong.
