Iran threatens to attack US companies in Middle East if America strikes energy facilities

Iran has threatened to attack the facilities of US companies in the Middle East if its energy infrastructure is targeted by US and Israeli forces. 

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that "if Iranian facilities are targeted, our forces will target facilities of American companies in the region or companies in which the United States has shares".

Speaking to the YCJ news agency, Aragchi warned Iran will “act with caution so that densely populated areas are not targeted” in retaliatory strikes.

Araghchi also said that while “the Strait of Hormuz is open”, Iran will not allow “the oil tankers and vessels of enemies and their allies” to pass.
