A committee representing families of detainees in the occupied West Bank has accused Palestinian Authority security forces of carrying out systematic torture and abuse against political prisoners held in al-Junaid Prison. The Committee of Families of Political Prisoners said it was deeply concerned over what it described as escalating violations against detainees, accusing Palestinian Authority security agencies of pursuing a policy of political arrests and repression targeting activists and resistance supporters.
