Syria supports Bahrain security measures after IRGC arrests announced

The Syrian government expressed “full solidarity” with Bahrain following the arrest of dozens of people allegedly linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, according to Syria’s state-run Syrian Arab News Agency.

Damascus said it fully supports Bahrain “in maintaining its security and stability”.

Bahrain announced on Saturday that authorities had arrested 41 individuals accused of ties to the IRGC.

Egypt and Kuwait also voiced support for Bahrain earlier, as regional tensions surrounding Iran and Gulf security continue to intensify.
